Target Audience

Goal

Serene is a mobile app is targeted towards women who may be experiencing domestic violence. The app disguises itself as a normal, unassuming app (such as a food delivery service app) to protect the user from the assailant. This allows the user to keep the app on their phone in cases of emergencies.

• Provide assistance to users in a discreet manner
• Increase access to help to those who find themselves in situations where they are required to be discreet

Problem

• Women in domestic violence situations find themselves trapped in their own home and/or unable to get help without alerting the assailant
• As a result, these women are unable to receive the help they need and are unable to get themselves out of their situations.
